Echuca Gardens Gypsy Wagons | Murray River
A heritage-style gypsy wagon for two, wrapped in gardens and forest.
Why we like it
❤️ Think Romani caravan meets Murray River romance, with air con.
These reproduction wagons (also called chalets) were built with guidance from Heritage Victoria, so they look like they trundled out of the late 1800s.
Inside, you get modern comforts, so you can enjoy the vintage charm without a single chamber pot.
They sit at the back of the property, tucked among water gardens on the edge of the state forest, which is about as far from the daily grind as you can get without leaving town.

One wagon, one double bed, zero awkward negotiations over who gets the good side.
Each wagon sleeps two and comes with an ensuite, a kitchenette and a little lounge nook for sipping something local while the world carries on without you.
The gypsy wagons may steal the spotlight, but the quirky cottages are full of character too with plenty of country charm.
