1. Treetops Everglades Villa
Best for: Stylish Villas, Outdoor Shower, Kitchen, Tallow Beach, Up to 6 Guests, $$$
Plantation shutters and tropical gardens give these contemporary villas a beachy peaceful vibe.
Located close to Tallow Beach, Byron Bay’s best beach, you won’t have far to walk for a refreshing swim. Back at your Treetops Everglades Villa jump under the outdoor shower to wash off the sand and then lounge on the outdoor daybed as the day cools.
Choose from one-bedroom villas that can accommodate up to three guests and two-bedroom villas that have room for up to six guests so there’s plenty of room for families or friends. The Byron Bay shops are a 15-minute walk away and the Byron Bay Market is 2 km away.
Each villa has a fantastic indoor/outdoor flow with an outdoor terrace with a dining table and chairs. Indoors the kitchen is well-equipped, and the lounge is modern and comfy with TV, DVD, and Netflix. All in all, a wonderfully affordable stay by the beach!

2. A Sweet Escape – Aluna
Best for: Unique Mexican Style Holiday Home, Creek Location, Belongil Beach, Up to 6 Guests, $$$
Located right on the banks of Belongil Creek, you’ll relax in the serene surroundings of A Sweet Escape – Aluna. An eclectic holiday home with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and plenty of room for six guests. Aluna means Goddess of the Moon in Cajun and this sure is a tranquil and peaceful spot! With the calming sound of the water flowing in the creek.
You’re only a few minutes walk to Belongil Creek for swimming, sunbathing, picnicking, and beachcombing. Belongil Beach is beautiful and less crowded than Main Beach. This part of Byron Bay is also more chilled out!
Review: Only a short few minutes walk to the beach to enjoy our sunrise and sunset walks and a 5-minute drive into town. The home had all the comforts needed to enjoy our stay. Sitting in the backyard watching the natural beauty of the creek and surrounding wetlands, fish jumping, and bird life.

Overlooking the renowned Pass surf break, Above the Pass is a contemporary beach house that exudes a charming coastal vibe with its exquisite timber finish. Surrounded by tropical gardens, the house boasts an outstanding feature of floor-to-ceiling glass doors and windows that offer ample natural sunlight to the living room. The sleek modern furnishings blend effortlessly with the polished timber floors, creating an inviting ambiance.
This three-bedroom upmarket holiday home is spacious with a large central kitchen, a range of entertaining areas, and decks for outdoor dining and enjoying a glass of wine gazing at the ocean.
Review: The house is stunning, architecturally designed, and nicely furnished. We liked being a bit outside the centre but still within walking distance… and so close to The Pass, which is the best – particularly for children at low tide.
