Glamping

This is stylish camping in a private corner of the organic farm overlooking the river. The safari-style tent is on a wooden floor with a deck and you have room for a couple or a small family. The tent includes a king-size bed with luxurious linens and retro furniture.

Close by is a cute tiny cottage with your kitchen and bathroom. The small kitchen includes all utensils and crockery, a fridge, and a gas hob.

The bathroom has a flush toilet and a wonderfully hot shower. Solar panels charge the hot water, fridge, and lighting.

The icing on the cake is the outdoor bath cleverly built into a little deck by the river. It’s all plumbed in with hot and cold water for warm nights under the stars!

No WIFI for a relaxing stay. Includes a BBQ and outdoor dining area. Bijou Bliss! Comes with your own private jetty and kayaks.

Magic Cottage

A romantic little cottage for two on the banks of the Takou River surrounded by sub-tropical gardens. Luxurious linens and furnishings, small kitchen, and en-suite. The outdoor claw-foot bath is plumbed with hot water and sits on the sweet sun deck.

A private and intimate setting. Also includes a private jetty with kayaks so you can row along the river to the beach at Takou Bay.

River Cottage

A cute self-catering 2-bedroom cottage with room for up to 4 guests and a north-facing sun deck. Includes kitchen made from reclaimed timber, en-suite bathroom with eco-friendly toiletries, contemporary furnishings, luxury linens and an alfresco bath on the deck with limitless hot water.

Enjoy the spacious views from the cool tower, snuggle in front of the cosy wood fireplace in the evening and cook on the outdoor BBQ. During the day take one of the kayaks out to the beach. TV, DVD, music player and WIFI.

What a beautiful and magical place! Hidden away in beautiful nature and right by the river, it was the perfect getaway and escape. We stayed at the River Cottage, which had everything we needed for an amazing stay. Perfectly equipped kitchen, incl BBQ facilities on the terrace, an outside bath tub for a relaxing moment and to admire the beautiful sky at night.

Summer Cottage

A lovely cottage with room for 2-4 guests, similar in design to River Cottage with comfy furnishings, an en-suite, and well-equipped kitchen, and a deck overlooking the gardens.

Both cottages share a wall but maintain their privacy. The summer cottage has its very own summer house hidden in the gardens; with an alfresco outdoor bath, BBQ, pot-belly stove, and table and chairs.

Spend your days and nights luxuriating in the natural setting. TV, DVD, music player, WIFI, and kayaks are available for use.

Shearer’s Cottage

A spacious cottage for up to 6 guests with a north-facing deck with BBQ, beanbags, and dining table and chairs. Perfect for families with three bedrooms.

One has a king-size bed, en-suite, deck, and outdoor bath, another has a queen-size bed and the third has bunk beds.

There is also a family-size bathroom. The cottage is open plan with a cosy fireplace for all-season stays. The children are welcome to visit the farm animals.

The Lodge at Magic Cottages at Takou River

This exclusive Lodge is designed to adapt to a visiting couple or for a group up to 8 people. It’s sole occupancy so it’s all yours to indulge in relaxation, gentle walks around the gardens, alfresco dining on the deck, swims in the graceful river, and fun paddling to Takou Bay Beach.

With cathedral ceilings, the Lodge’s luxurious interior is open-plan and comfortable with a deck and views out across the organic farm and a lawn that leads down to the river.

On cool evenings why not snuggle up close to the cosy wood fire. With four bedrooms – the downstairs master has a king-size bed and a stunning en-suite with double showers and a spa bath.

The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with gas hobs, oven, fridge, freezer, utensils, crockery, microwave, expresso coffee machine and everything you’ll need for a self-catering hideaway.

A second bedroom on the ground floor is at the other end of the house from the master and is a twin with an en-suite. Upstairs you’ll find two extra king-size rooms to accommodate more of your group.

No mobile phone coverage but you can use the phone in the office for local calls. Includes TV, DVD, music player, WIFI, relaxing candles, fresh flowers and magazines.
